"You can now donate your shares to Tirupati Balaji Temple's DMAT A/c"

TTD Opens DEMAT Account to Accept Donations
Tirupati : "In an yet another innovative and progressive idea, Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has opened up its Demat Account to accept donations from devotees in the form of shares and securities," said a release issued by TTD Public Relations Officer on 3 August 2015.

The Central Depositories Service Limited (CDSL) officers met TTD EO Dr D Sambasiva in his Chambers at TTD administrative building in Tirupati on yesterday evening and handed over the related Demat papers to him.
Meanwhile in India, shares and securities are held electronically in a dematerialized (or “Demat account”) instead of the investor taking physical possession of certificates. TTD has started its account in Stock Holding Corporation of India Limited(SHCIL). The account Number allotted to TTD is 1601010000384828.
CDSL Chairman Sri N Rangachari, MD and CEO Sri PS Reddy, SHCIL MD and CEO Sri NGS Ramesh, additional FACAO Sri O Balaji, CAO Sri Raviprasadudu were also present.

TTD is a conglomeration of temples, brought under the First Schedule 2 of the Act 30 of 1987. The Board of Trustees is constituted by members appointed by the government.

The Executive Officer is the chief executive of TTD. He is assisted by two Joint Executive Officers, Chief Vigilance and Security Officer, Conservator of Forests, Financial Advisor & Chief Accounts Officer, and Chief Engineer. Besides, there are officials to look after the different branches of administration.

TTD maintains 12 temples and their sub-shrines, and employs about 14,000 persons.

TTD has dedicated itself to serving pilgrims who visit Tirumala and Tirupati. It provides facilities to make their pilgrimage a unique and rewarding spiritual experience. It also works towards preserving the serenity and sanctity of the sacred Tirumala-Tirupati area.

TTD is ever-conscious of the social, economic, religious and environmental needs of the people, especially the needy. It undertakes several activities and has initiated different schemes in these areas.

Important Note : TTD does not manage any temples outside India.
